The Pitter Patter of Hippity Hoppity Blog Bunny Feet

I've been so very lax at dutiful blog hopping; my apologies to all! I'll catch up soon, I promise. I'm surrounded by decoupaged eggs and annual tax paperwork, and I'm almost done with all. New Easter Eggs are now listed in my Etsy store and my LolliShop store, with more to come!

Yes, It Snows in California, and, Yes, I'm Ready for Summer!

Finally, more snow last Tuesday, but only patches of snow remain today, in spite of a small flurry yesterday.

Summer is calling me, and I answered with a trip to my studio for some jewelry creation. This carved mother of pearl starfish necklace, accented with a black opal mosaic inlay bead and a stylized sea urchin in brass filigree and pearl, is my creation for the LolliShops Co-op Ad in the Somerset Studio Summer 2009 magazine.

I can almost feel the sea breeze rustling the pink paper umbrella of my adult beverage...

Eggcentricity, a New Shop Assistant, and a Couple of Shout Outs

I love all things birdy, and I am to the point of eggcentricity in my love for paper decoupaging wood nest eggs.

My home decor shops at Etsy and LolliShops will soon be displaying Easter and Spring listings of decoupaged and glittered eggs on which I've been spending my winter evenings while watching reruns of American Idol, Frasier, Will & Grace, and The Golden Girls.

My lovely assistant, Bunny, recently left her home at LolliShop Nana's Nest for a chance at fame and glory playing second banana in some of my photo shoots. She is so cute, she may just be stealing the show!

Isn't Bunny darling? She arrived with her own Easter basket full of lovely pink watercolor-like decoupaged eggs, and a surprise seed-filled relaxing eye sachet with a divine aroma.

I am also thrilled with these bird ornaments from LolliShop Bailiwick Designs. They are painted and decoupaged metal hearts, and will be so perfect to brighten my covered front porch!

Lastly, more decoupage eggs with my favorite Japanese origami papers. These fine papers come in a variety of textures, weights, and patterns, and they are just the best!

My mom, shown above, is a 7 year lung cancer survivor! She had quit smoking 8 years prior to her initial diagnosis of terminal lung cancer, and after additional testing was determined to be a good candidate for lobectomy. After surgical removal of two lobes in her right lung, radiation therapy, and the passage of time, she is in great health and she is my most treasured valentine.
